Get ready to prost! Saturday, October 5 and 12 from 11am to 4pm
Ocala, FL— Back for another year, WEC Oktoberfest powered by Gary Yeomans Ford will celebrate Bavarian culture and festivities in World Equestrian Center – Ocala’s Exposition Center 1 on October 5 and 12. Tickets are on sale now for the two, back-to-back Saturdays from 11am to 4pm. Attendees can break out the lederhosen and dirndl to enjoy a full menu of traditional German fare from schnitzel to spaetzle, all included in the ticket price.
Open to all ages, day-of festivities include beer sampling for those 21+, pretzel making demonstrations, yard games, and live interactive Polka music from the Swinging Bavarians and much more. Commemorative beer steins will be available for purchase, and VIP ticket holders can enjoy a complimentary half-liter stein with included first pour, as well as access to a private lounge, bar and exclusive menu.
Attendees can look forward to special events each weekend of the Oktoberfest. On October 5, the pre-event Schnitzel Shuffle 5K Race will be making its return at 10am. Runners and walkers alike are welcome to run straight to the fun on the race course that finishes at the expo center. Themed costumes are encouraged! Register separately via RunSignUp.com. Registered 5K participants will enjoy a discount on their Oktoberfest ticket purchase with their race registration.
New this year, the US Steinholding Association Florida State Championship will take place at Oktoberfest on October 12, with open qualifiers October 5 for those 21+. Come on out to contest for glory and a spot in the state-wide championship, plus over $500 in prizes!
