Sam Pegg & Casey H Capture $30,000 Grand Prix Victory at WEC – Wilmington Christmas in the Midwest

Wilmington, Ohio – The spotlight was on Casey H (Cassin x D-arielle) in the Standlee Sanctuary at WEC – Wilmington Saturday evening as she jumped to the $30,000 Grand Prix win with Sam Pegg in the irons.

Bobby Murphy designed the track that saw a four-horse jump-off and three double clear efforts posted by Pegg, Amy Krebs and Sarah Meier.

Meier was the first contest the short course with her 11-year-old Selle Francais gelding, Karlson HH (Kannan x Coronoa Ls), posting a time of 37.949 seconds, ultimately enough for third place.

With the eight-year-old Holsteiner mare, Pegg was the second to jump-off, stopping the clock in an unbeatable 33.25 seconds to capture the top spot.

Krebs and her 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding, Jabantos (Corsari Van De Helle x Cassima), were just shy of Pegg’s leading time earning second place in 34.513 seconds.
