Scott Lenkart & Origi Van’t Roosakker Capture $30,000 CWD Grand Prix Win at Midwest Indoors I
08 NOV 25 Wilmington, OH

Wilmington, Ohio – It was a consistent week at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington (WEC) for Scott Lenkart and Eyckenhoeve Group Inc.’s Origi Van’t Roosakker (Echo Van T Spieveld x Locosta Van T Roosakker). The duo jumped two double-clear efforts in featured competition at Midwest Indoors I, claiming third-place honors earlier in the week and capturing the win in the $30,000 CWD Grand Prix.

The 11-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding has been a reliable player in the barn at South Haven Farm, Lenkart reflected. “I have had him for a couple of years now. Luke Rinehart showed him in Traverse City. I figured that Luke wasn’t here this week, so I would try! He jumped around double clear in the Welcome and was third. Today was set a little bigger than I thought it would be, but he jumped really great!”
Bobby Murphy’s track saw a two-horse jump-off between Lenkart and Kama Godek. Godek was the first to return with her own Lady Stakkata (Stakkato x Lady Levisto 2).

The 10-year-old Holsteiner mare produced the first double-clear effort in 35.96 seconds with Godek in the irons.

Lenkart returned to just edge Godek out of the top spot, stopping the clock in 35.438 seconds to take the win.

Reflecting on his experience competing at the venue, Lenkart expressed high praise for the facility. “I love it here. They take pride in everything they do. The footing, the jumps and the cleanliness here are unheard of. We came here for the first time last month, and we all fell in love with it. All my customers wanted to come back, so we drove from Texas to show here for two weeks!”

Lani Hutchison rounded out the top three as the fastest four-faulter with her own 12-year-old Selle Français gelding, Duc De Jentiere (Vagabond De La Pomme x Unic De La Gentiere).
