Sean Jobin Claims One-Two Finish in Final $60,000 GGT Footing Grand Prix of the 2025 Fall Classic Series

Wilmington, Ohio – The final Saturday night class of the 2025 Fall Classic Series at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington (WEC) featured 38 horse-and-rider combinations in the $60,000 GGT Footing Grand Prix.
Colm Quinn (IRL) designed a track that sent 11 athletes forward to the jump-off. It was Sean Jobin’s (CAN) night, as he secured a one-two finish aboard Engaye D’amaury and Grande Dame Dk.
The victory was especially meaningful as Jobin shared the story behind his winning mount, Engaye D’amaury. “We found him in France and really liked the program he was in. At first, I passed on him, but my friend Tim Warden really believed in the horse. Eventually, I came back around and said, ‘Let’s do it.’ I really liked the feeling he gave me.”
“In his nine-year-old year, he had a really bad colic. I remember being at Traverse City when they had to get the ambulance out. I was so worried about him because he’s just the sweetest, nicest guy. It took him a long time to recover. We slowly built him back up, and I wasn’t sure he’d ever return to top sport. But this year, Tim kept pushing me, so I entered him in a two-star in Ottawa, and he won. Then he went on to win another qualifier at Angelstone, and he’s just been a superstar ever since.”
The 11-year-old Luxembourg gelding showed off in the jump-off, stopping the clock at 36.97 seconds for the win. Grande Dame Dk, a nine-year-old Selle Francais mare, followed closely in second with Jobin in the irons, finishing in 37.092 seconds.
Reflecting on the course, Jobin said, “It was technical, which I liked. You didn’t need to set the jumps massive for some good horses to have rails. The triple combination out of the corner by the in-gate was sneaky difficult. You had to judge your pace right to get over the oxer but not too much that you flattened over the verticals. Then the plank double also made you stay on it. It was a great track.”
“It’s always so nice to come back to Wilmington. I love World Equestrian Center — the horsemanship, the care, the quality of people who’ve put this facility together. I’ll always come to WEC if I have the chance,” Jobin added.
Lisa Goldman-Smolen (USA) and her own eight-year-old Belgian Warmblood stallion, Romeo B, rounded out the top three with a time of 37.207 seconds.

Aiden Udelson & Jackson VDL Speed to Win the $7,500 1.20m Junior/Amateur Mini Prix
Eighteen junior and amateur athletes competed over a track set by Colm Quinn for the $7,500 1.20m Jr/Am Mini Prix Saturday afternoon at Fall Classic 5.
Out of an eight-horse jump-off, Aiden Udelson sped to the win aboard his longtime partner, Jackson VDL (Zirocco Blue VDL x Design O).
The 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding jumped in his typical quick and careful style, stopping the clock in 25.978 seconds to lead the victory gallop with Udelson by nearly two seconds.
Ginacolada (Indoctro x Pinacolada), piloted by Valentina Da Silva Giusti, landed in second place with a jump-off time of 27.393 seconds.
Layne Brogden rounded out the top three aboard her own Castlelawn King Claudius (Marius Claudius x Tinky Winky K) in 27.708 seconds.
