World Equestrian Center – Ocala to Host USHJA WCHR Hunter Spectacular During Week V of 2026 Winter Spectacular Show Series

Ocala, FL – World Equestrian Center – Ocala (WEC) is pleased to announce the addition of a USHJA WCHR Hunter Spectacular during Week V of the 2026 Winter Spectacular Show Series, marking the first of two World Championship Hunter Riders (WCHR) weeks. This new class will replace the previously scheduled USHJA International Hunter Derby during Week V.
The Hunter Spectacular will offer $75,000 in prize money, follow the open format, and take place under the lights in the WEC Stadium on Friday, January 30.

Open Format Eligibility
The Spectacular is open to all enrolled WCHR riders competing at 3’6” and above, including professionals, amateurs, and juniors. The class will count toward Horse of the Year (HOTY) points.
Riders must declare one of the following sections:
- 3’6” Section Options: Performance 3’6”, Green 3’6”, Green Conformation, Amateur Owner 3’6”, Junior 3’6”
- 3’9” Section Options: High Performance Conformation, Green 3’9”
- 4’ Section Option: High Performance
Declarations must be submitted in the horse show office before closing on the day prior to the class.
The second WCHR week will be held during Week IX of the 2026 Winter Spectacular Show Series and will showcase a $75,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby under the lights of the WEC Stadium. Review USHJA International Hunter Derby Specifications.
