CROWNWOOD & HOME AWAY FROM HOME POLICIES

NON-SMOKING POLICY: Crownwood and Home Away from Home rental units are strictly non-smoking. We do not permit smoking tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, e-cigarettes, vape pens, vaping, cartridges containing the liquid of nicotine, hookahs, incense, cigars, candle burning, the use or diffusing of patchouli oil or other strong-smelling plant-based essential oils or synthetic products in our facility. Failure to comply subjects guests to a $500.00 fine. Additional charges apply if the unit is unrentable due to required cleaning or restoration. 

DAMAGE TO ROOM: Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishing and equipment including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, artwork, etc. will be charged at 150% of full and new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges. Any damage to Crownwood or Home Away from Home properties, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each rental unit. Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the credit card of the registered guest. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued. 

ALCOHOL POLICY: Registered guests of legal age who choose to bring their own alcoholic beverages must consume those in their units.  

DOG POLICY: Dogs are welcome at Crownwood and Home Away from Home. Maximum of two (2) dogs up to 75 lbs each for an additional fee of $150 per dog plus tax, per stay non-refundable. Service animals excluded. 

  • Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their dog in unit rentals and including communities’ grounds. Please immediately remove and dispose of any waste. A supplementary cleaning fee will apply in cases where excessive dirt or mess is incurred. 
  • Dogs should be properly supervised at all times and kept on a leash when outside. Dogs should not be left unattended at any time (unless crated). 
  • World Equestrian Center reserves the right to remove a dog from the premises when it displays signs of aggression, regardless of breed, type, size, weight etc. 
  • If you require housekeeping service, please contact Guest Services to arrange a convenient time for service. Dogs cannot be left in the rental unit during housekeeping service. 
  • Please use the designated dog walk area outside of the hotel for dog relief and healthy exercise. 
  • Dogs are restricted from the pool areas, restaurants, lounges, spa, meeting spaces and prohibited from using unit furniture within the Crownwood and Home Away from Home. Service animals excluded. 
  • Please be respectful. As a courtesy to all guests, noise should be kept to a minimum. If a dog is making excessive noise, owners will be contacted for compliance. 

Please Be Advised: Service animals are working animals, not pets. The work or task a dog has been trained to provide must be directly related to the person’s disability. Animals whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.

HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES:  
Housekeeping is available upon request with at least 24 hours’ notice for $75 per visit. To schedule, contact Guest Services. All Home Away from Home and Crownwood rentals include a starter cleaning kit.  
 
MINIMUM CHECK-IN GUEST POLICY: Guests must be 21 years of age or older to check-in. 

GUARENTEE POLICY:  

A valid credit card is required at the time of reservation to guarantee accommodation. 

ADVANCED DEPOSIT POLICY:  

A 50% deposit of the total stay is required at the time of booking. The remaining 50%, along with the departure cleaning fee, is due on the day of arrival. 

If the deposit cannot be processed, the reservation is subject to cancellation. 

PAYMENT POLICY:

We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and cash as forms of payment. A valid credit card is still required at check-in for incidentals. An authorization of $100 per day will be held for incidental charges. Any remaining balance and incidental charges will be settled upon check-out, and any unused authorized funds will be released by your bank. 

This policy may differ for special events, restricted dates, and group reservations. Please refer to the policy outlined in your group agreement or provided by your dedicated Group Sales Manager. 

CANCELLATION POLICY:  
For individual reservations, cancel by 4:00 p.m. EST at least 72 hours prior to arrival to receive a refund of the advance deposit. 

Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival, as well as no-shows, will result in forfeiture of the advance deposit, equal to one night’s room and tax. 

Cancellation terms may differ for special events, restricted dates, and group reservations. Please refer to the policy outlined in your group agreement or provided by your dedicated Group Sales Manager. 

EARLY DEPARTURE POLICY:  
A penalty charge equivalent to one night’s worth of room rate and taxes will occur when departing earlier than the reserved departure date. 

GENERAL POLICY:  
Check-In Time: 4pm *Early check-in is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed in advance. 
Check-Out Time: 10am *Late check-out is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed in advance. 
 
ASSOCIATED FEES:  
Unlimited Wi-Fi Fee: A $5 per day fee is assessed in addition to the nightly rate for unlimited Wi-Fi.  
Departure Cleaning Fee: A non-refundable $75+ tax departure cleaning fee applies per stay. 

TAXES:  
State: 6% tax 
County: 1.5% tax 
Tourism Development: 4% tax
