24 OCT 25 Wilmington, OH

Wilmington, Ohio – The final Hunter Derby Friday of the 2025 Fall Classic Series at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington welcomed Havens Schatt to the winner’s circle with her own Chaquisto Blue Ps.

The $10,000 GGT Footing USHJA National Open Hunter Derby saw scores climb into the 90s, but no one could best Schatt over the tracks designed by Scott Alder.
The seven-year-old Warmblood gelding, known for his impressive jumping style, took an early lead in the class with a first-round score of 93.

The duo returned for the handy as the final combination to earn a score of 84.5.

An overall score of 177.5 was ultimately enough to capture the win and close out Schatt’s five weeks in Wilmington with a victory.
Iris Perlioni Scores First $10,000 Merck USHJA National Non-Pro Hunter Derby Win Aboard Amour
Iris Perlioni marked her first derby win Friday afternoon of Fall Classic 5, besting a field of 21 horse-and-rider combinations aboard her own Amour (Tinarana Gold Wave x Granbeg Lass) in the $10,000 Merck USHJA National Non-Pro Hunter Derby.

“We call him Chandler in the barn. He’s probably one of the sweetest horses I’ve ever ridden,” she shared about her partner. “He’s really honest, and he always goes around. He’s super fun. Outside of the derbies, we do the 3’6” Junior Hunters, and he’s been pretty consistent in that, which is really exciting,” she added.
Perlioni piloted her 10-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding to a first-round score of 89 early in the order and remained untouched as the final to return for the handy.

Speaking about the track, she said, “I really liked the course. I thought it flowed really well, and if you went in all your corners, all the distances came up really nicely.”

An impressive handy effort was rewarded with the highest score of 92, culminating in a winning two-round total of 181.
On her experience competing at Wilmington, she smiled, “I’ve been coming here maybe three or four years, every year in the fall. It’s always so fun. I love all the decorations, and everyone who competes here is just really nice, which makes it even better.”

After securing the win, she concluded, “I’m so excited. I’ve never won a derby before, so it’s just really exciting—my first derby win!”
