Wilmington, OH – Saturday evening’s featured competition brought an exciting finish to the $60,000 Standlee Forage Grand Prix at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington (WEC) during Fall Classic III. Will Martin (CAN) and Katherine Kaneb’s 12-year-old mare One And Only (Diktator Van De Boslandhoeve x Bellefleur) rose to the top of the 23-entry field, delivering a double-clear performance and stopping the jump-off clock at 41.604 seconds to secure the victory.

Martin and One And Only began their partnership just three months ago and have quickly found success together. Known for her naturally large stride, careful jumping style, and competitive spirit, the talented mare has continued to demonstrate her consistency in the ring.

Heading into the jump-off, the plan was to capitalize on One And Only’s ground-covering stride while maintaining an efficient track. Although an additional inside turn was initially considered, the team ultimately decided it was unnecessary. The mare made the most of her stride through the opening line and executed an efficient inside track from fences 10 to 11, maintaining her careful form through the final obstacle to secure the winning time.
