Our Junior Rider Focus showcases Elaina Davis, the victorious rider of the 2022 WEC Medal Final at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington. Davis shares about her major triumph and deep connection with her 14-year-old Oldenburg x Hanoverian mare, Zuri, that helped aid in her victory. She also reveals her aspirations, dreams within the sport and looks forward to the next chapters in her riding career.
We spent 24 Hours with Peter Petschenig, an international show jumping trainer and athlete from Austria. Petschenig is self-taught and self-made. He began his career on the neighbor’s naughty pony and worked his way through the levels at show barns riding any horse that he could. When he made the leap to the United States, he settled in California and met his wife, Nathalie. Together, they now run a successful boarding and training business in Collinsville, Texas, and travel the country competing, with World Equestrian Center – Ocala as a primary destination.
