Ocala, FL – Join us for the inaugural May Day Barrel Bonanza, kicking off a thrilling series of Championship Barrel Races from May 16-19, 2024. Entries and stall reservations are now open, and World Equestrian Center – Ocala is abuzz with anticipation for this premier event. With $75,000 in added prize money, along with championship saddles and belt buckles up for grabs, the stakes are high for the Super Sunday Final on May 19 where 160 deserving contestants will vie for victory.
The May Day Barrel Bonanza features two action-packed days of competition on May 17 and 18. Horse-and-rider combinations will have the chance to showcase their skills in a variety of classes including Futurity, Derby, and Open 4D categories, alongside youth and senior competitors.

Health Papers
Upon arrival, please bring the following health documents to the show office located in Indoor Arena 5. Please note, the registered name must be used on all health documents.
- A 14-day statement of health, certificate of veterinary inspection or a health certificate, is required for all horses arriving from instate or outside the state of Florida. The statement of health must be dated within 14 days of check-in, affirming that the horses entering the facility have not had an elevated temperature, been to a facility where there has been a positive or suspected positive case of EHV, been in a close proximity to an ill horse and receive routine vet care and vaccinations. The Statement of Health must be signed by a licensed veterinarian and on the vet’s letterhead.
- Negative Coggins dated within one year.
- Trainer/Owner Health Declaration (New for 2024) – Signed by an owner/trainer confirming that the horse has not experienced a fever exceeding 101.5 degrees or any disease in the 72 hours leading up to its arrival. Additionally, the horse must not have been exposed to or treated for an unexplained fever in the past 28 days and should have tested negative for any disease at least 30 days prior to arrival. If the horse has tested positive within the last six months for any infectious diseases, this information should also be disclosed. See form.
- Vaccine records of Flu/Rhino within the span of six months.
Any non-showing horse, including ride-around horses and pony horses must also provide the health papers above.
