January 22, 2025 – Ocala, FL – World Equestrian Center – Ocala (WEC) Complex Executive Pastry Chef Yohann Le Bescond has been named as a semifinalist for the 2025 James Beard Awards® presented by Capital One in the category of Outstanding Pastry Chef/Baker. The James Beard Foundation® announced the 2025 Restaurant and Chef Award semifinalists Wednesday morning.
The James Beard Awards recognize eateries and chefs exhibiting “exceptional talent in the culinary and food media industries, as well as a demonstrated commitment to equity, sustainability, and creating a culture where all can thrive,” according to the James Beard Foundation. Now in their 35th year, the prestigious awards recognize semifinalists across an expanded 25 categories. 13 Florida restaurants and chefs were included this year.
