Ocala, FL – World Equestrian Center – Ocala (WEC) is excited to announce that Gary Yeomans Ford will once again serve as the presenting sponsor of the 2025 WEC Premier Equitation Cup Championship. This prestigious event will take place on Saturday, February 8, 2025, during Week VI of the Winter Spectacular Show Series in Ocala, Florida. The championship, held in the iconic WEC Grand Arena in front of The Equestrian Hotel will showcase junior riders as they compete for the coveted Premier Cup title.
The winner of the 2025 WEC Premier Equitation Cup Championship powered by Gary Yeomans Ford will be awarded a Ford Explorer XLT SUV. Riders qualified for this event by competing in classes at both WEC locations in Ocala, FL, and Wilmington, OH, as well as at select shows offering “Premier Cup” qualifiers. There is still time to qualify. Riders have until January 31, 2025, to accumulate 120 points and secure their spot in the championship.
As the first major equitation championship of the year, this can’t-miss event draws the attention of equestrian enthusiasts nationwide. Competitors will face a challenging and beautifully designed course in the WEC Grand Arena, creating an unforgettable experience for junior riders and spectators alike.Junior riders will compete in three phases: jumping, flat, and a test. In addition to the championship title and SUV, the event offers an impressive $100,000 in trainer awards, distributed as follows:
Winning trainer: $40,000
Second-place trainer: $30,000
Third-place trainer: $20,000
Fourth-place trainer: $5,000
Wild-card trainer (drawn from non-ribbon-earning competitors): $5,000
