An Exclusive First Taste of WEC’s Rare Character Private Barrel

Ocala, FL – World Equestrian Center – Ocala (WEC) invites guests to be among the first to taste the exclusive Rare Character WEC Private Barrel 10-Year Release on Wednesday, September 16, before full release later this year at The Shoppes Off 80th.

Hosted in Aston’s Room at The Equestrian Manor, the evening features a guided tasting with Rare Character co-founder and whiskey expert Pablo Moix, showcasing rare and distinctive whiskey expressions. Each guest will receive one 750 ml bottle from WEC’s hand-selected barrel: a 10-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from barrel KHR-007, bottled at 120.12 proof and featuring a custom label designed exclusively for WEC. The label features the Staff Sergeant Reckless statue in front of the Grand Arena, creating a distinctive keepsake for whiskey collectors and equestrians alike.

Throughout the evening, guests will enjoy chef-crafted hors d’oeuvres paired with unique Rare Character expressions, including top-tier whiskeys produced in exceptionally small batches and bottled at barrel proof.

This intimate experience is $180 per person and includes the guided tasting, hors d’oeuvres and one keepsake bottle from the Rare Character WEC Private Barrel. Additional attendees may be added for $80 per person to receive the full tasting experience without a bottle. 2% OpenTable service fee, 20% gratuity and applicable taxes additional.
