Wilmington, Ohio – Calling all young horses! New for 2024, World Equestrian Center – Wilmington is thrilled to offer a special Young Hunter and Jumper Incentive Program. Beginning January 3, 2024, WEC is offering an affordable and exciting way to bring along young horses at its premier, climate-controlled, centrally located facility. All five, six, and seven-year-olds are eligible to be nominated.
All nominated jumpers will be eligible for the $45,000 Young Jumper Championship. Jumpers will pay a one-time nomination fee to enter the program. Entry fees and jumper nomination fees will be FREE for every show through November 2024.
The jumper championship will run in three classes:
- $5,000 WEC 5-Year-Old Championship
- $15,000 WEC 6-Year-Old Championship
- $25,000 WEC 7-Year-Old Championship
All nominated hunters will be eligible for the Young Hunter Championship, where they will be offered back 100% of the nomination fees collected throughout the year as prize money (with a minimum of $2,500 guaranteed). Hunters will pay a one-time nomination fee to enter the program. Entry fees in the Young Hunter Division will be FREE for every show through November 2024.
The Young Hunter and Jumper Incentive Championships are tentatively scheduled to take place during Fall Classic #3 in October 2024.
Enrolled jumpers can compete in all WEC – Wilmington shows in all jumper classes, not restricted to amateur or junior riders. Horses competing in the Young Jumper Incentive Program are not eligible for the Welcome Prix or the Grand Prix.Horses that are competing in the Young Jumper program are not eligible to receive prize money.

HOW TO ENTER:
Jumper Nomination ONE TIME Fees:
- $650 – if completed by April 1, 2024
- $800 – if done prior to the closing date of the championship
- $1,000 – if done after the closing date of the championship
Hunter Nomination ONE TIME Fee:
- $250 – competing once in the division will automatically be converted to a nomination fee for all future shows

The purpose of this program is to promote the safe and ethical training and development of young horses in the country; therefore, jumpers will be limited to seven classes per week under the program.
