The World Equestrian Center continues to monitor developments in the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The health and safety of our World Equestrian Center employees and exhibitors is our highest priority and we are taking every precaution to ensure their safety.
Biosecurity is a top priority for the World Equestrian Center. Since the arrival of COVID-19 in the United States, we have proactively increased our precautions to include the daily bleaching of rings, aisles and public areas and the installation of hand sanitizers at in gates and in public areas. We have also opened the doors to our barns and arenas to promote fresh air circulation. And we have encouraged those who are not feeling well to stay at home.
At this time, World Equestrian Center events will continue as scheduled. We will continue to monitor worldwide developments via daily updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and follow all recommendations from the CDC, the USEF and state and local public health agencies.
We recommend that our exhibitors stay informed via the information resources available from the CDC and USEF and follow precautionary measures set forth by those organizations.
In the event of symptoms or known illness in direct correlation with COVID-19, the World Equestrian Center will leverage resources provided by local and state government for proper action and communication.
Together we can help prevent the spread of this virus by actively participating in safe hygiene practices in the workplace, at home and in public.
