Inside VOL I
Our cover story highlights our new feature, ‘Across the Globe,’ where we follow the journey of American U25 athlete Natalie Dean. Dean explored numerous world-renowned destinations in 2023 with the Paris Panthers, a team in the Global Champion League™, and in the Longines Nations Cup™ as a part of the NetJets® U.S. Jumping Team.
Our Stable Spotlight takes us to Montreal, Quebec, where we meet Canada’s decorated professional, Paul Halpern, and learn more about his Écuries Nova Stables. Since the launch of Nova, World Equestrian Center – Wilmington has become a frequent destination for Halpern and his barn family.
Our Junior Rider Focus spotlights Lily Kosal, a committed young rider hailing from Washington, Michigan, who frequently hones her skills at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington. She opens up about her connections with her two horses, Castlebridge Cassius and Grandville, while also sharing her future goals and aspirations, as she looks forward to riding on the NCAA Division I Equestrian Team at Delaware State University.
We spent 24 hours with Erynn Ballard, a professional show jumping athlete from Ontario, Canada. Her remarkable career stands as a testament to the acclaim she has earned, now channeling her expertise into Ilan Ferder Stables, where she excels in the sale and development of top-tier show jumping horses.
We draw inspiration from The Foundation of the Horse, the charitable arm of The American Association of Equine Practitioners. With a focus on education, altruism, aiding those in need, as well as fostering innovation and discovery, the foundation has significantly contributed to enhancing the quality of life for equids worldwide.
Throughout 2023, we traveled the world by way of food and wine at World Equestrian Center – Ocala with the Stirrups Wine Series presented by Wheels Up. In this ‘Scene at WEC – Ocala’ we remember a culinary journey around the globe and embark on an adventure to four renowned destinations to celebrate the food, wine and culture that makes them extraordinary.
