Wilmington, Ohio – Exhibitors crowded the Standlee Sanctuary Saturday evening at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington (WEC) for the final $60,000 GGT Footing Grand Prix of the 2024 Fall Classic Series. Anderson Lima (BRA) set a challenging track for the field of international horse-and-athlete combinations allowing only four to qualify for the jump-off.
Francisco Goyoaga Mollet (ESP) and The Diamant Rose Z (Toulon x Diamant Z) were one of two to jump a double clear effort to claim their second featured win of the week to close out Fall Classic V.
“This is a horse that I have had for about three years now. She is a crazy fast horse and she has already won so many classes with the other rider that had her. She is so competitive and I came here to practice for the CSI3* next week. She makes it easy and fun to win classes!”
Goyoaga Mollet enjoyed the technical track set by Lima, “I think the track was great for the money. There is a lot of money so the track needs to be technical and I think he did a great job. The jump-off was fun. There were a lot of options in both courses and I thought it was really ideal for the class.”
As the first rider to post a clear effort, Goyoaga Mollet returned as the pathfinder for the jump-off and was ultimately unable to be matched.
Ashland Farms’ 13-year-old Zangersheide mare, The Diamant Rose Z, stopped the clock in 39.323 seconds to add another sweet victory to her record.
Goyoaga Mollet shared his thoughts on recent visits to WEC – Wilmington, “It is a great place for everything; to train horses, to win some money. The footing is great and the ambience is awesome. The crowd is always really good here for the classes and it makes it super fun. I love to come here; it is a great facility.”
Taylor Land (USA) posted the only other double clear effort with Nestledown Equine Services eight-year-old Holsteiner mare, Capriconia D (Casiro I x Vitoria), in 44.472 seconds for second place.
Loic Cannaert (BEL) piloted Orpen Horses’ 15-year-old Oldenburg mare, Magic (Cartogran x Amouselle), to third place in 40.343 seconds with four faults on their score.

Izzy Beisel & Diaz Barbotiere Race to Win the $10,000 Merck Futures Prix of Fall Classic V
Speed was the name of the game in the $10,000 Merck Futures Prix of WEC – Wilmington Fall Classic V. Anderson Lima (BRA) designed the tracks that led eight combinations to the jump-off phase, though none could catch Izzy Beisel and her own Diaz Barbotiere (Messire Ardent x Quambera Barbotiere).
Beisel was looking to secure a clear and confident round with her mount, “Last week was a bit of a bummer,” Beisel shared. “After the past few classes, I just wanted to be double clear today even if I didn’t have the time. I wanted to have a nice, confident round. We both took a deep breath and stepped down just to make it easier. It was a good little brain break and reset and we just had a blast!”
With her 11-year-old Selle Francais gelding, Beisel never fails to post the leading time, and shared her thoughts moving into the jump-off.
“When I came out of the welcome on Thursday, I had the winning time by three seconds but had the last the rail down. I felt like I needed to go slower in the jump-off because it always comes to the last the rail. Toward the end of the course I was really trying to slow down, Diaz is just so fast,” Beisel laughed.
Crossing the timers in 35.994 seconds, the duo secured the win by nearly two full seconds.
Kelly Arani entered immediately after Beisel to search for victory with Marigot Bay Farm’s nine-year-old Danish Warmblood mare, Princip F. Damgaard (Balou x Porsche F. Damgaard), but was just shy in 37.1 seconds for second place.
James Gillam rounded out the top three with his own eight-year-old Zangersheide gelding, Devils Decision Z (Diamant De Semilly), in 39.187 seconds.
