Ocala, FL – Twenty-one talented rising star Jumping athletes, all ages 25 and under, vied for the win in the $32,000 1.45m Grand Prix CSIU25 during Week III of the World Equestrian Center – Ocala 2025 Summer Series. Ultimately, it was Jake Endicott (USA) and Weslands Farm’s Kariludine S (Dallas x Mermus R) who claimed the top spot after a blisteringly fast jump-off.
FEI Level IV course designer Alan Wade (IRL) set the track once again. Seven combinations managed to jump clear in the first round to return for the jump-off, where only four kept all the rails up a second time.

Georgia Bouzaid (NZL) was the first to take on the jump-off and set an impressive pace aboard her own 17-year-old gelding Copabella Voltage (Copabella Visage x Quidam De Revel), stopping the clock in a quick 34.90 seconds.
Several others attempted to beat Bouzaid’s time, but none succeeded, until Jake Endicott entered the ring aboard the scopey and quick Kariludine S. The talented 10-year-old KWPN mare is a new partner for Endicott. “She is owned by Wesley Newlands, a client of Ilan Ferder’s,” he shared. “I started riding ‘Lulu’ in May and did a U25 Grand Prix in Kentucky, where I had one down, then came back the next week and won the class. Last week, I was second in the U25 here. It’s a new partnership, but she’s such a nice horse that getting to know her hasn’t been difficult.”

Heading into the jump-off, Endicott had full confidence in Kariludine S and a clear strategy in mind. “One to two came up quickly. The second line was a four-stride, and if you don’t get to that just right, you’re kind of dead in the water and have to scramble to recover,” he explained. “After that, you gallop over to the vertical and get there in eight strides. Since everything was on an angle, you were always landing and going somewhere—there were no easy lines in the jump-off.”
The final line proved to be a decisive moment. “I had originally planned for eight strides, but when I saw everyone doing seven, I figured I had to go for it. I landed and did all seven strides—luckily, I got there. I think she made that line look a lot better than it might have been,” he laughed. “She’s a really good horse, and I think she won that class.”

With a time of 33.23 seconds, Endicott and Kariludine S claimed the top spot on the leaderboard and galloped away with the lion’s share of the prize money.
This marks Endicott’s return to WEC – Ocala, having first competed in the 2022 Premier Equitation Cup Championship, where he finished in second place. “I came to WEC a few years ago for an equitation class when I was still a junior. I have to say it’s probably my favorite place I’ve ever been to.”

Last to go, Maya Denis (MEX) came close to challenging the lead aboard her own 11-year-old KWPN gelding Jantien De Muze (Triomphe De Muze x Lord Z), but ultimately settled for third with a time of 35.55 seconds.
