World Equestrian Center Expands World Class Facility
World Equestrian Center (WEC), central Ohio’s premiere full-service show facility, will be making improvements to its facilities over the next several months in preparation for the 2015 show season. In addition to our existing indoor and outdoor arenas, we will be adding a 625’x130’ indoor arena and expanding the existing indoor arena to 245’x110’ . This will provide a total of over 100,000 sq ft of heated riding space. These additions will make our indoor arenas among the largest heated facilities for shows in the country.
The growth of the arenas will be accompanied by an expansion of our support facilities. Fifteen wash racks and thirty six full hook-up camping spaces will be added to our grounds to accommodate the extra horses and their owners. This growth will also impact our schedule, increasing the number of shows we will be able to host. Currently, we have added four new hunter/jumper shows for 2015 with more to follow.
WEC’s returned and expanding presence to the horse show industry will also have an impact on our local community. We will be adding three full time employees to our staff, and local restaurants and hotels will benefit from the expanded schedule and additional traffic to the area.
The general manager of WEC, Sarah Arpke, and her trained, professional staff are looking forward to seeing horse show enthusiasts from all over the country for our upcoming events in 2014-15
Located in Southwest Ohio, WEC is recognized regionally and nationally as a first class show facility. A choice site for a wide variety of events, WEC excels in meeting the needs of various associations and specialty groups wishing to put on a first class show. Whether it’s a horse show, 4-H event, dog show, or other special event, our participants return to WEC year after year.
