Some of the biggest names in the game showcased their best 3-year-olds during this evening’s $100,000 NSBA 3-Year-Old Maiden Western Pleasure – Finals. Twenty advanced into the final round, but none could top Aaron Moses and ShesGotAWayAboutHer. Moses and 2019 bay Quarter Horse filly, sired by No Doubt Im Lazy and out of RV Gifted Machine, walked away victorious against a field of fierce competition.
The pair took home a $20,000 A Sudden Impulse check, custom Harris Leather and Silverworks belt buckle, a stunning NSBA trophy and World Equestrian Center scrim sheet.
Moses was elated about his accomplishment aboard G & S Performance Horses’ talented entry. “We bought this young mare about 45 days ago from Kaitlin and Kelby Hutchinson, they did a great job training her. She’s got great owners now and is an amazing horse. She is just hitting her spot and is coming together perfectly. She stayed nice and soft throughout the entire class.
We are so blessed to be at WEC. All I have to say is if you haven’t been here, you need to come because it’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen.”
Brian Ale and Jeri Lockwood’s Flying To The Moon (Extremely Hot Chips x Diva By Moonlight) captured second place honors winning $10,000 and custom Hannah Jewelry A Sudden Impulse pendant.
Third place went to Angie Cannizzaro aboard Deja Whoo (The Lopin Machine x Whos Cheating Who). Showing for owners Scott & Linda Berwick, Cannizzaro and the brilliant gray won a total of $8,000.

During this morning’s $15,000 NSBA 3-Year-Old Maiden Horse Open Hunter Under Saddle – Finals LivingLike ArockStar (Living Large x Spurz N Diamonds) and Shannon McCulloch rode to the winner’s circle once again. She and the gorgeous bay also secured the win in yesterday’s $15,000 NSBA 3-Year-Old Maiden Horse Hunter Under Saddle – Limited.
We caught up with Shannon after the class. “So happy to win with this horse. He was a little tired today because it has been a long show, but he’s fresh like a baby, so it was a bit of a balancing game. We are hoping to go to Kentucky for the Premier Sires Futurity, NSBA World Championship and the majors later into the fall.”
