Ocala, FL – World Equestrian Center – Ocala hosted yet another great day of competition during A Sudden Impulse AQHA & NSBA Futurity. Thursday, April 25 featured class highlights included the $15,000 NSBA Senior Trail, the $10,000 NSBA Senior Ranch Riding, and the $5,000 NSBA Non-Pro Western Pleasure Maturity.

The $15,000 NSBA Senior Trail welcomed 66 talented combinations to compete over a technical pattern. Blake Weis and Cavallo Family Trust’s 2017 mare Hot Lopin Lily (RL Best Of Sudden x Shes A Lopin Machine) bested the rest, taking home the lion’s share of the prize money.

Tami Adams McAllister and Heather Lange’s 2015 gelding Tennessi Whiskey (Zippos Mr Good Bar x Buddys Buffalo Gal) scored the $5,000 NSBA Limited Rider Senior Trail bonus.

In the $10,000 NSBA Senior Ranch Riding, a competitive field of 29 horse-and-rider combinations put their skills to the test navigating a challenging pattern. At the end of the class, it was Curtis Reynolds and Eric Mendrysa’s 2014 stallion Xtra Magic Doctor (Shiners Voodoo Dr x Aleena Starlight) that emerged victorious.
