New! $10,000 Trainer Award & Circuit Awards in all Fall Series Hunter/Jumper Divisions
WILMINGTON, Ohio – July 13, 2018 – Entries are now open for the World Equestrian Center Fall horse show series and the World Equestrian Center Invitational featuring five weeks of Hunter/Jumper competition and more than $621,000 in combined prize money. The prize list is available now online at www.wec.net. Entries are being accepted via www.horseshowing.com and through Equestrian Connect. Reservations for stalls, hay and bedding as well as RV spaces may all be made online at www.horseshowing.com.
The WEC Fall Series and Invitational include five weeks of Hunter/Jumper competition:
- WEC Fall I – September 26-30, 2018
USEF Regional I – Level 2 Jumper
No Jumper Nomination Fee & Double WEC Points
- WEC Fall II – October 3-7, 2018
USEF Regional II – Level 2 Jumper
No Jumper Nomination Fee & Double WEC Points
- WEC Fall III – October 10-14, 2018
USEF Premier – Level 4 Jumper
- WEC Fall Classic – October 17-21, 2018
USEF Premier – Level 4 Jumper
- WEC Invitational – October 23-28, 2018

Incentives and awards for the new Fall Series are aplenty and include:
- Stalls for showing horses are $75.00 if pre paid and stall counts are finalized two weeks before the start of competition.
- FREE tack stall offered for every 5 competing horses.
- The four show Fall Series will offer Circuit Awards in all Hunter and Jumper divisions with prizes of $1,000 to every Champion and $500 to every Reserve Champion. Awards are certificates that can be used at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington. Certificates are valid at Show Office, International Grille and Café, The Paddock Club and A Sudden Impulse boutique and good for one year.
- There is No Jumper Nomination Fee & Double WEC Points at the Fall I and Fall II horse shows.
Weather permitting, competition is expected to be outside in the newly constructed World Equestrian Center outdoor horse show complex, featuring spacious Hunter and Jumper rings with dedicated warm ups and all weather footing. When competition moves indoors, exhibitors will note that the World Equestrian Center has recently replaced footing in all indoor arenas with a custom blend of premium sand and GGT Footing.
Fall Series Hunter Competition Highlights
The Fall Series features Hunter Derby opportunities for all levels with two $2,500 USHJA National 3’ Hunter Derbies (Open and one Non Pro); as well as a $2,000 2’6″ Non-Pro Hunter Derby.
Fall Series Jumper Features and Incentives
The World Equestrian Center is offering exhibitors at the Fall I and Fall II horse shows NO Jumper Nomination Fee and DOUBLE WEC points. Jumper features at those two shows include a $10,000 WEC Grand Prix, a $4,999 Futures Prix and a $1,500 Open Welcome Stake.
Weekly Jumper action during the Fall Series III and the WEC Fall Classic include a $5,000 Open Welcome Prix, $7,500 Futures Prix and a $25,000 Grand Prix.
World Equestrian Center Invitational Highlights
The WEC Invitational will offer Jumpers a $50,000 Grand Prix, a $15,000 Open Welcome Stake and a $10,000 Futures Prix.
For Hunters, the WEC Invitational features a $40,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, a $15,000 USHJA National 3’ Open Hunter Derby and a $15,000 USHJA National 3’ Non-Pro Hunter Derby.
The WEC Invitational also hosts the finale of the 11-part Kentucky Horse Shows LLC / World Equestrian Center USHJA National Hunter Derby Series collaboration that includes $20,000 in rider bonuses to be awarded to leading Pro, Amateur and Junior riders at the close of competition.
