Wilmington, Ohio – Featured competition for the 2025 Spring/Summer Series at World Equestrian Center – Wilmington came to a close Saturday evening with the $30,000 GGT Footing Grand Prix of Summer III.

No stranger to the winner’s circle, Izzy Beisel once again led the victory gallop aboard Liz Hutchinson’s Triskel De Kerliven (Mylord Carthago x Herinys L’enchante).
Three entries jumped double-clear rounds, but Beisel entered as the final rider to contest Guilherme Jorge’s short course, sliding into the lead.

“My plan was to go really fast from one, two, three, and four, because he has such a big step that I could leave out strides in the long lines. I landed from four and realized we were doing awesome,” Beisel laughed. “I turned back really tight to the oxer, and it all worked out!”

Having racked up wins on her string of horses, this one marked a special victory—it was her first time leading the gallop with the 18-year-old Selle Français gelding.
Beisel felt “so excited” after her first grand prix win on Triskel De Kerliven. “He has seriously been knocking at the door for this with me. He is just so cool. This is actually his last grand prix for a while because we are going to focus on the equitation, since he is doing the big EQ finals with me. It was a perfect way to wrap up our summer.”

The duo stopped the clock in 39.844 seconds to take home the blue.
“I want to thank Liz for sharing her amazing horse with me. I am so grateful for the opportunity,” Beisel expressed.

Molly Kindness earned her second red ribbon of the day aboard Jayme Klosterman’s nine-year-old KWPN gelding, Liber T (Grand Slam VDL x Nikita), in 42.946 seconds.

Rounding out the podium was Sarah Meier and her own 11-year-old Selle Français gelding, Karlson HH (Kannan x Corona LS), in 43.491 seconds.

Tiffany Hammack & Louisiana Chavannaise Top the $10,000 Futures Prix
The $10,000 Futures Prix kicked off competition Saturday afternoon at WEC – Wilmington Summer III. Guilherme Jorge designed the track that saw a nine-horse jump-off, where Tiffany Hammack ultimately took the top spot aboard BCS Jumpers LLC’s Louisiana Chavannaise (Cicero Z x Tequilla Des Bergeries).

Hammack spoke about the development of her talented mare: “We imported her as a five-year-old and she is eight now. She has been awesome every year stepping up. She is very careful and just learning how to go fast this year. She has really stepped up. We ended Florida jumping 1.40m, and she just jumped her biggest class at Lamplight this summer! So, we took an easier week this week.”

With the top four just tenths of a second apart, the eight-year-old Belgian Sport Horse mare’s natural footspeed stopped the clock in 33.530 seconds for the win.

“The first round was nice, and I think the horses all jumped really great today. The jump-off was fun because it was pretty much just galloping—everyone had to take pretty much the same track,” Hammack shared.

She also commented on her first experience in WEC – Wilmington’s outdoor facilities: “This is our first time jumping outside here at WEC and it is awesome. It is so relaxing and has a really nice atmosphere. The footing is great out here, just like inside. The jumps are so nice, and we have had a great week.”

Molly Kindness and her own 10-year-old mare, Henry Jota Blind Date (Quindao x Tupasy Cordada), were just shy of the lead, securing second place in 33.547 seconds.

Eliza Potterfield-Zara and the 15-year-old gelding, C’est Lumpi (Comme Il Faut), rounded out the top three in 33.792 seconds.
