Ocala, Florida – World Equestrian Center – Ocala (WEC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Doug Brooks as Senior Director of Hospitality. With over 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Brooks brings a wealth of expertise in hotel operations, sales, marketing and team development.
Brooks’ distinguished career includes significant tenures with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where he specialized in opening new hotels in locations such as St. Thomas (USVI), Jamaica and Las Vegas. He also held executive positions in sales, marketing, and operations, contributing to properties that earned the prestigious AAA Five Diamond designation. In addition, Brooks founded Nexus Hospitality in 2008 with his wife, Jackie Sangster, focusing on elevating service standards and operational excellence in emerging markets.
Outside the hospitality industry, his leadership and advisory work spans organizations as diverse as luxury automotive, telecommunications and public safety, showcasing his ability to drive innovation and deliver exceptional results.
