This sold out week of equestrian sport brought countless Amateur and Junior riders from across the country to the World Equestrian Center for the WEC Fall Classic. As the show comes to a close today, we’d like to recognize a few of our outstanding Juniors/Amateurs and their successes at World Equitation Center this week.
Melodie Robitaille took home the blue ribbon this weekend aboard her own Written The Stars in the $2000 Non Pro Derby 2’6″ against 11 entries. The duo also won the Intermediate Children’s Hunter Classic, and earned various top-five placings in both the Intermediate Children’s Hunter and Equitation.
Megan McMillan of New York, New York, had a fantastic week aboard her own Finesse, finishing well on Sunday in the Low Child/Adult Jumper Classic with a 7th place finish out of eighteen entries. Finesse, as well as Megan’s other horse Touch of Z, both had stellar weekends with Megan’s trainer, Alan Griffin, aboard.
Illinois-based Emma Crawford had a super Fall Classic week aboard Piper Klemm’s Stonewall Black Pearl. “Lunabear” is a new ride for Emma and it was the the adorable pair’s first time competing in the Small Pony Hunter 2’3″ division. They earned some nice ribbons and were a delight to watch.
