WILMINGTON, Ohio – November 26, 2018 – The World Equestrian Center announced today that James R. (Jim) Wolf has been retained to secure sponsorships and build strategic partnerships for the organization. With decades of experience in developing and activating sponsorships at the highest levels of the equestrian industry, Wolf is uniquely positioned to guide sponsor activation at the World Equestrian Center facilities in Wilmington, Ohio and Ocala, Florida. His extensive background in governance, marketing and event management spans more than 30 years in the equestrian industry and positions him well to lead the effort in the ongoing development of the World Equestrian Center assets and sponsor portfolio.

Wolf is the President of Wolf Sports Group, LLC (WSG), whose clients have included organizations including the United States Equestrian Federation, Equestrian Sports Productions, International Equestrian Group, Tryon International Equestrian Center, Jet Set Sports, the National Steeplechase Association, the International Tennis Hall of Fame and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. WSG specializes in sponsorship, business development and event management and has been responsible for assisting in the organization of top-tier equestrian events including the Land Rover Kentucky Three Day Event, the Rolex Central Park Horse Show, the Wellington Eventing Showcase, Festival of Champions and the USEA American Eventing Championships. WSG’s comprehensive sponsorship portfolio includes Rolex Watch, Land Rover, Hermes, Mars, Inc., Cannon, JetBlue, JW Marriot, Coca-Cola, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Ariat and Adequan, among many others.
Most recently, Wolf served as Discipline Director for the Olympic Discipline of Eventing at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games, in Tryon, North Carolina, where he managed all technical aspects of the competition as well as the staff and officials. Wolf was also responsible for the sponsor branding on the Eventing cross country driving marathon courses at this competition.
In addition to his work on behalf of clients, Wolf serves as a Major Gifts Officer for the United States Equestrian Team Foundation, cultivating major donors for the nonprofit and developing the branding and marketing strategy for the organization.
Previously, Wolf has served as Chef d’Misson for the United States Equestrian Team at six World Equestrian Games, five Olympic Games and four Pan American Games. Wolf’s sizeable involvement with the US Equestrian Team also includes his role as Executive Director of Sports Programs, which encompassed managing all High Performance and National Programs related to the eight International High Performance Disciplines of the USEF including three Olympic Disciplines and the Paralympic program, as well as sponsorship sales and activation. Among his many accomplishments, Wolf’s previous experience includes the coordination of the time buy and advertising sales for the broadcast of the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event on NBC each year since 2004.
