Entries Now Open for World Equestrian Center Spring/Summer Horse Show Series with $295,000 Combined Prize Money & Debut of NEW! Outdoor Facilities

WILMINGTON, Ohio – April 23, 2018 – Entries are now open for the World Equestrian Center Spring/Summer horse show series, including three weeks of Hunter / Jumper competition and a total of $295,000 in combined prize money. The prize list is available online at www.wec.net and paper copies can be found in the horse show office. Entries are being accepted via www.horseshowing.com and through Equestrian Connect. Reservations for stalls, hay and shavings and RV spaces may all be made online now through horseshowing.com.

Weather permitting, competition is expected to be outside in the newly constructed World Equestrian Center outdoor horse show complex, featuring spacious Hunter and Jumper rings with dedicated warm-ups and all-weather footing.

Stalls for showing horses are $75.00 if pre-paid and stall counts are finalized two weeks before the start of competition.

The Spring/Summer Series is comprised of three weeks of Hunter / Jumper competition:

  • May 23-27, 2018 (50% Off Jumper Nomination)

USEF Regional II Level 3 Jumper

  • May 30 – June 3, 2018

USEF Regional II Level 4 Jumper

  • August 8-12, 2018

USEF Premier/ Level 4 Jumper

Hunter Competition Highlights
The Spring / Summer Series features Hunter Derby opportunities for all levels with two $2,500 USHJA National 3’ Hunter Derbies, one Open and one Non-Pro; as well as a $2,000 Hunter Derby at 2’6″.

The Spring / Summer series horse shows are part of the 11-show Kentucky Horse Shows LLC and the World Equestrian Center USHJA National Hunter Derby Series collaboration that includes $20,000 in rider bonuses to be awarded at the World Equestrian Invitational in October 2018.

The schedule includes a full array of Medals and the following Hunter Classics will be offered at all three shows:

Jumper Features and Incentives
Weekly Jumper action includes a $5,000 Open Welcome Prix, $7,500 Futures Prix and a $25,000 Grand Prix.

The World Equestrian Center is offering exhibitors a 50% Off Jumper Nomination fee incentive at the May 23-27 horse show.
