August 20, 2024 – Ocala, FL – Dressage riders will have a special competition opportunity this September 18-22, 2024, at World Equestrian Center – Ocala (WEC) when it hosts the 2024 Great American Insurance Group (GAIG)/USDF Region 3 Dressage Championships. The championships run concurrently with the Hampton Green Farms WEC September Dressage Show, which is a USEF/USDF Level 4 competition.
The GAIG/USDF Region 3 Dressage Championships feature more than $30,000 in prize money from USDF. The championships are a qualifier for the 2024 US Dressage Finals presented by Adequan® and will have the USDF Adult Amateur Equitation Regional Final class presented by Big Dee’s Tack and Vet Supply. The championships offer classes from Training to Grand Prix Level for junior, young rider, adult amateur, and open riders. Entries close on Monday, August 26, 2024.
The competition boasts a fantastic judging panel that includes Dinah Babcock, Kem Barbosa, Cheryl Holekamp, Sue Mandas, Adrienne Pot, Lisa Schmidt, Sara Schmitt, David Schmutz, Cesar Torrente, Charlotte Trentleman, Kristi Wysocki and more to be announced.
The WEC September Dressage show offers qualifying opportunities for the 2025 FEI North American Youth Championships and the 2025 USEF National Championships in Para, Children’s, Pony, Junior, Young Rider, Young and Developing Horse, Intermediaire I, Grand Prix and Young Adult Brentina Cup divisions.
On Saturday, September 21, starting at 5 p.m. in Indoor Arena 6, an exclusive evening of top-tier dressage and dining will be available.
