How do I get to the show grounds? What are the closest airports?
World Equestrian Center is conveniently located in Southwest Ohio, less than two hours north of the Kentucky Horse Park. We have plenty of free, on-site parking and can accommodate vehicles of all sizes.
There are three major airports within 50 miles of the World Equestrian Center – John Glenn Columbus International Airport, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), and Dayton International Airport.
The World Equestrian Center offers on-site landing access to customers with helicopters.
Please call ahead to make arrangements.
The Wilmington Air Park is open to private aircraft and is less than 15 minutes away from the World Equestrian Center. Car rentals are available at the airport. The facility can accommodate aircraft as large as a 747.

What are the dates of World Equestrian Center horse shows?

The World Equestrian Center in Wilmington, Ohio, currently hosts 32 hunter/jumper horse shows, year-round. Our largest show is the 18-week Winter Series of the Midwest, running from late November through the end of April. Additionally, we have a Spring and Summer Series and a Fall Series.

What is the WEC position of Safe Sport?
Safe Sport, World Equestrian Center will comply with all requirements for amateur sport as set forth in the Ted Stevens Olympic and Amateur Sports Act and will refer all complaints to the United States Center for Safe Sport for independent investigation. World Equestrian Center shall uphold standards equal to those set forth in the Equestrian NGB’s Safe Sport Policy. World Equestrian Center shall give full reciprocity to any sanctions imposed by the U.S. Center for Safe Sport that are published on the Centralized Disciplinary Database.

Do you have on-site shopping at World Equestrian Center?
On-site shopping has never been better at the World Equestrian Center! At any given horse show, we have between 20 and 25 carefully curated vendors on-site who offer a selection of:

There is a calendar accessible on the homepage of our website. You can also sign up to receive emails from World Equestrian Center or submit questions directly through our website.
What type of events are happening at World Equestrian Center?
We hold 32 weeks of top USEF rated Hunter/Jumper horse shows. We host an additional 11 shows that feature other disciplines and breed events such as Quarter Horse, Arabian and Appaloosa.
What is the address of the facility?
World Equestrian Center is located at 4095 OH-730, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
What are the hours of operation?
It varies. The horse show day typically runs from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The shows typically run longer on the weekends.
Is there an admission fee at World Equestrian Center shows?
No, World Equestrian Center shows are free and open to the public.
Is there seating available at the events?
Yes, each of our three main arenas have grandstand seating that is free and open to the public on a first come, first serve basis.
Is there a charge for parking?
No. Parking is free at the facility. Wilmington equestrian spectators should enter the show grounds at the main gate and park out front in designated spots.
Are World Equestrian Center shows handicap accessible?
Yes, the grandstands in the Sanctuary Arena and the R+L Arena are handicap accessible with lifts to accommodate wheelchairs.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes. World Equestrian Center welcomes well-behaved, leashed dogs at the horse shows.
Are the World Equestrian Center events family-friendly?
Yes, we invite spectators to bring the whole family to the events at World Equestrian Center.
Are there places to eat at the World Equestrian Center?
Yes. We have three main eateries on site: The Paddock Club, The International Café and Dark Horse Coffee Co. proudly serving Starbucks. The International Grille offers traditional breakfast and lunch fare, while the Paddock Club offers a heartier dinner menu. To view the menus click here.
Dark Horse Coffee Co. proudly serves all of your Starbucks favorites, as well as pastries and grab-and-go sandwiches.
Do you serve alcohol at the facility?
Yes. The International Café and the Paddock Club serve beer and wine.
Is there shopping on site at World Equestrian Center?
Yes, many vendors attend each horse show and can be found in the storefronts of Vendor Village and in the hall of the R+L Arena. Our very own A Sudden Impulse boutique located in the R+L Hallway, features World Equestrian Center-branded gear, along with an eclectic collection of antiques, whimsical housewares, gifts, jewelry, toys and stuffed animals.
Can I take photos at the facility?
Yes, you are welcome to take photos while spectating at the facility. However, you may not sell the photos to exhibitors due to contracts with official horse show photographers. To view our private photography policy click here.
